Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Deuteronomy 31:6

Dear Members and Friends of First Baptist Church,

There is far too much speculation, way too much wall to wall news coverage, including a clearly anti-Trump Political agenda when it comes to the Coronavirus Pandemic. All of this causes great fear and panic. While I believe President Trump has it right, calling for voluntary personal restraints, our Wisconsin Governor is overreaching in his mandate that no more than 10 people can assemble together, with certain exceptions.

The Deacons, Christian Education Superintendent and I met Tuesday night and prayed that God would direct us in mapping out a plan as we face these drastic measures that we have to deal with. Here is what we have come up with.

  1. Because of our concern for protecting the health and safety of our church family (we have many older folks in our congregation) and out of concern for protecting the citizens of our area we have voted unanimously to suspend the public services but look forward to resuming our regular schedule of services as soon as we possibly can.
  2. We will be Live Streaming our entire 10:45 a.m. morning service (including singing) on our facebook page. Our address is – www.facebook.com/firstbaptistchurchoc
  3. You can tune in to Pastor’s Radio program on FM 107.7 every Sunday Morning at 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.
  4. Within one hour of our Morning Service the audio portion of the service will be posted at www.sermonaudio.com/fbcoc
  5. If you do NOT have internet, you can drive to the church parking lot and park and tune into FM 92.9 and hear everything that is going on inside. This ONLY works in our parking lot. We have a low watt FM station. Someone will come out with a bulletin, song book and to collect your tithes and offerings.
  6. For those who do not have access to internet and want to hear the messages, call the church office and we can send you CD (audio) or DVD (video) of the Sunday Morning Service.
  7. You can text your prayer needs to me at 414-768-9754
  8. There are plans underway to try to make provisions for up to 50 people (in separate rooms of 10) to come in and hear the morning service. If that can be worked out, we will expand to an evening service as well.
  9. We will be having special pray times for people to sign up and come in and pray in groups of 10. More information to follow.
  10. Please continue your tithes and offerings. You can drop them off at the church office or mail them to us at the address on the letterhead.

pray, Pray, PRAY that God will have mercy on us and stop this plague. Psalms 55:16-17As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me. 17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
