Pastor Emeritus David L Brown, Ph.D.31495339 1573054416126769 2223803786625810432 n

Brother Brown trusted Christ as Savior as a boy after a Sunday school teacher in a modernist church threw away the liberal curriculum and  went through the Book of Romans with the class. As a result, at home, in his bedroom he called upon the name of the Lord Jesus and was saved.

Pastor Brown attended a secular university for a year, then, went on to Bible College and Seminary. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology and Social Science, a Master’s in Theology and a Ph.D. in History.

He met Linda in the Baptist Youth Group of their town and they were married in 1969. They have 3 grown children, thirteen grandchildren.

He was called to pastor First Baptist Church in 1979 and continues on serving the Lord as Under Shepherd. His passion is to reach people for Christ and preach the Word (the King James Bible) so the Christians will grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ.

His life’s verses are - Psalms 34:7-8  “The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them. 8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.”

Come worship the Lord with us!
